What we collect when you shop with us, why we need it, who else sees it, and how to have it removed.

Who is responsible
The Creative Cosmos (“we”, “us”) operates www.thecreativecosmos.in. The business responsible for your information is The Creative Cosmos, Pune, Maharashtra, India.

What we collect
When you place an order: your name, email address, phone number and delivery address, and what you bought. We need all of it to make the piece, send it, and tell you where it is.
When you create an account: your name, email address and an optional phone number. Your password is never stored by us in a readable form — it is hashed by our authentication provider and we cannot see it.
When you contact us or ask about a commission: whatever you put in the form, which is your name, email and your message.
When you subscribe to the newsletter: your email address and nothing else.
We never see your card. Payments are handled entirely by Razorpay. Card numbers, UPI IDs and bank details are entered on their systems, not ours, and are never sent to or stored on this site.
Cookies and what the site stores in your browser
We use a small number of cookies that are necessary for the site to work: one that keeps you signed in, one that remembers your bag, and one that lets you see an order you placed as a guest. These are not used to track you across other websites.
Your wishlist is kept in your browser’s own storage so a heart fills the instant you click it. If you sign in, it is merged with the list saved to your account rather than replacing it.
We do not use advertising cookies, and there is no third-party analytics script on this site.
Why we hold it, and for how long
Order information is kept because we are required to retain records of sales, and because you may need to return something or ask about an order months later. Enquiries are kept while we are talking and for a reasonable period afterwards. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
If you close your account, we remove your profile but keep the record of any orders you placed, because those are accounting records rather than profile data.
Who else sees it
We share only what is needed, and only with the services that make the shop work:
Razorpay — to take payment. Delivery partners — your name, address and phone, so a parcel can reach you. Supabase — the database and authentication behind the site. Vercel — the hosting that serves these pages. Cloudflare — the challenge on our forms that keeps out automated spam.
We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to anyone for their own marketing.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@thecreativecosmos.in and we will respond. If you have an account, you can see and change most of it yourself under your account.
Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing does not affect orders you have already placed.
How it is kept safe
Everything travels over an encrypted connection. Access to the database is restricted at the row level, so one customer’s records are not readable by another. Your session is held in a cookie that scripts on the page cannot read, which means a flaw in the site cannot be used to steal it. And, as above, no card details ever reach us.
Children
This shop is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their details, write to us and we will remove them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be told to account holders by email.
